Dr. Wahlen is an incredible doctor and treated my mother wonderfully. He was kind, patient, and thorough when explaining everything that was going on. Both him and his staff were accommodating and spoke Spanish which alleviated a lot of my mother's stress. Definitely recommend if you need a podiatrists.

I was very nervous going to see Dr Whalen today. I have 2 amputations & I don’t enjoy people seeing my foot. The nail on my third toe had started growing funny & I couldn’t do anything with it so I bit the bullet & made an appointment. I was made to feel so at ease & like nothing was odd about my foot. He of course asked questions which made me relax. He ended up cutting the nail which will allow me to wear shoes again. If you have trouble with your feet or ankles, don’t hesitate. Make an appointment!!

Dr. Wahlen took out a Neuroma in my foot last Summer. He answered all of the questions I had about what it would or could be like after surgery. He has treated me for plantar fasciitis with a steroid injection and got back to walking again! Every time I've seen him he's been very personable, polite and honest, all of the things you want in a surgeon. His staff is always very helpful and I would recommend that office to anyone with foot issues!

I am so glad that I trusted Dr. Devin Wahlen with my bunion surgery. Eleven weeks post-surgery, my foot looks amazing and feels really good. Due to his expertise and guidance, my recovery stayed right on schedule, and even though some temporary swelling remains, I've been able to return to most activities that involve standing, running, jumping or walking. I am grateful to Dr. Wahlen and Eastern New Mexico Foot and Ankle for their care and professionalism during my surgical needs.

In short, I do not believe there is a better facility or a better doctor for taking care of foot and ankle needs. I would not go to anyone else.

Got a toenail removed and as scared as I was, it was a great experience. Didn’t experience any pain even afterwards I am pain free. This is also the only clinic I’ve ever been to that does a follow up to make sure the wound isn’t infected. 10/10! I was in and out of their office within 20 minutes! Didn’t take long at all. Highly recommend!

After taking a nasty fall on ice at the end of January and breaking my leg, I have had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Wright and Dr. Wahlen both. I can’t tell you how amazing they both are. Their office and staff are TOP NOTCH. Dr. Wright saw me for my initial appointment which ended in me needing ORIF surgery, he wasn’t available at the time to do the surgery the next couple days so I was then handed over to the care of Dr. Wahlen. When I tell you I’ve never had a better doctor, who cares about his patients like he does, it’s not for a lack of good doctors. It’s because he truly cares and overall you can tell he loves his job and his Patients. I was very nervous about my surgery before hand and he came into the room and joked around with me, and eased my nerves. He’s given me a great timeline and what to expect and when to expect it. After surgery I had a few questions and concerns and I called the office several times a day for the first few days, and without fail I was treated respectfully and professionally, regardless of how many times I’d already called that day. If you’re looking for a place to be taken care of like family. You’ve found it. They have somehow managed to turn one of the roughest experiences of my life into something that I can be thankful for, thankful for good medical care team. Through and through. Everyone who’s taken care of me, be it X-rays, the best splints I’ve seen (and worn), surgery, or a getting me a bottle of water because I was nervous to get my staples out, has literally been a delight. I can’t thank you guys enough.

Amazing Doctor & staff! Went in for a ingrown nail that was given by a local nail salon here in Clovis. Went in was greeted and very pleased w the online check in. You can take a pic of your id insurance card and fill out all new patient paper work online. I didn’t wait long in the waiting room maybe 7 minutes. Meet the nurse that took me back and she was just amazing super nice and sweet! Dr. came in and he was was also great and made you feel at home, he told me all about the procedure in-depth and if I had any questions. Did the procedure and I was done within a hour. Picked up antibiotics and am doing great !! I would highly recommend this Dr. and staff !

Dr. Whalen and his staff have been Amazing since our first encounter with them a couple of years ago. Our daughter Marty broke her leg, Tib Fib, and Dr.Whalen took care of her immediately and ensured that she received the best care, even by referring us to Lubbock. Next he doctored Marty’s ingrown toenail, that was definitely an experience, but a positive outcome. Lastly, most recent experience this year he attended to Marty’s broken ankle. He listened to Marty, even her being only 15 years old, and ensured that she understood his care plan for her ankle. They have truly established a great patient/doctor relationship and Marty appreciates all that he has done for her. We love his bold personality and that he stays away from “fluff”. Dr Wahlen was amazing and explained everything prior to both surgeries (9 months apart). After the first I followed post up care instructions better than I normally would and made sure I completed physically therapy without letting the odd feeling in my ankle deter me (that odd feeling was a truly stable ankle). 4 months after the first surgery I was back to running regularly again to include 5ks. This time around (grade 3 sprains during a mud run) I knew what to expect and focused on rehab. It paid off ran/walked a half marathon 6 weeks post op. Thank you Dr. Wahlen!

Wonderful experience. Had bone spurs removed from my right heel and Achilles’ tendon back in April 2018. Back to running 5 months later. Though not fully back to what I could run, I’m back to running pain free, which is awesome! If you see Dr. Wahlen and have surgery, follow his advise, definitely rest and don’t rush the recovery.
